New Signals Unveiled At The 2025 International Future Packaging Exhibition
From July 3rd to 5th, 2025, a grand International Future Packaging Exhibition took place at the Guangzhou Airport Expo Center. As a pivotal event in the beauty packaging sector, it drew over 500 exhibitors and 20,000 attendees.
Crescent Pack joined the exhibition as a visitor. Our delegation, comprising members from the marketing and design teams, toured every booth, engaged in in-depth discussions with 50 industry counterparts, and attended 4 forums. This experience deepened our understanding of the dynamics within the upstream and downstream industrial chains of cosmetic packaging boxes and gave us a clearer insight into the future development demands in the realm of beauty packaging boxes.
The following signals regarding the development of the beauty industry, brought to light by the 2025 International Packaging Exhibition, merit attention and consideration:
Green and sustainable development has become the mainstream trend.
A wealth of solutions such as eco-friendly materials, recyclability, and minimalist design made their presence felt at the exhibition, showcasing a green and sustainable future direction to the attendees. As consumers' environmental awareness grows, the use of recyclable and degradable materials has become a new industry trend, with many brands gaining consumers' favor and recognition by adopting environmentally friendly packaging.
The application of smart technologies is accelerating packaging upgrading.
Smart technological applications like AR interactive packaging, RFID technology, and intelligent anti-counterfeiting were on display at the exhibition, embodying the new trend of technology empowering packaging. The utilization of these technologies not only offers consumers a brand-new experience but also enhances the functionality and safety of packaging. Packaging design places greater emphasis on personalization and aesthetic expression: In a market environment where homogeneous competition is intense, many enterprises have distinguished themselves through "original design". For instance, Guangdong Shengwei Glass Technology Co., Ltd. has adhered to originality since its inception, controlling the entire process from design to production to ensure the uniqueness of its products. Additionally, some brands have launched limited-edition cosmetic packaging, which, with its unique artistic design, has become a sought-after collectible among beauty enthusiasts, significantly boosting the added value of the products.
International cooperation and exchanges have been further strengthened.
The number of exhibitors at this exhibition saw a 40% year-on-year increase, with the number of international exhibitors rising by 60%. It brought together international giants such as Amcor, the world's leading consumer packaging company, and Sealed Air Group, the world's largest gasket company, to showcase the cutting-edge application of new materials and technologies in the field of beauty packaging, reflecting the continuous improvement of the industry's internationalization level.
Opportunities for expanding into emerging markets are prominent.
The exhibition concurrently held the 2nd Beauty Cross-border E-commerce Conference, featuring three sub-forums in Southeast Asia, the Middle East & Russia, and Latin America. It invited local leading e-commerce platforms, cross-border sellers, and logistics service providers to share localized operation techniques, offering valuable experience and feasible plans for Chinese cosmetics brands to "go global", which reflects the industry's focus on and determination to explore emerging markets.
The integration of industry, academia, and research is accelerating industry innovation.
During the exhibition, the "Hundred Pioneer Think Tank" established a global innovation network integrating industry, academia, and research through five thematic forums covering the application of artificial intelligence, sustainable packaging, exploration of new materials and processes, and interpretation of market trends. It addressed the pain points of the packaging industry from a cutting-edge perspective, expanded the boundaries of innovation, and promoted technological progress and innovative development of the entire industry.
